School Bus Driver Doesn’t Think Photo of Her Holding Boy’s Hand Is a Big Deal Until Police See It.
Separation from parents can be a scɑry experience for any child, so starting school itself is very stressful for many children, especially in the beginning when they are not used to this new chapter of their life.
When cute Axel Johnson was about to start school, he looked very excited. His mother Amy took pictures of him and he was all smiles as he waited for the school bus to arrive.
But when it was time to board, his face changed and he almost cried. Of course, little Axel was not as strong as he would have been if he had been separated from his mother.
The bus driver, Isabelle Lane, noticed the change from happy to sad in Axel’s face, but she was determined to show him that there was nothing wrong with getting on the bus and going to school with lots of other kids his age. So, with Axel sitting in the seat behind her, Isabelle put her arm behind and Axel climbed onto her arm. It was a very sweet moment that Amy was able to capture.
Isabel showed that she is not just a driver, but someone who cares about the happiness of children. She wanted Axel to know that even though his mother wasn’t there for him, he could always count on her when he was on the bus. Her act reassured the frightened boy that everything would be alright.
Although Amy thought the photo of her son and the bus driver was worth sharing, so she posted it on Facebook. She expected people to love it, but she had no idea there would be so many positive comments.
The photo was also distributed by the local police, where it received over 2,400 reactions.
Isabel did not expect the praise she received. “Personally, I didn’t think it was such a big deal.” I think I would,” she said.
But it was a big deal. The next day, Axel was no longer afraid because he knew he had a friend in Isabelle. He was all smiles and happy to embark on a new adventure.
Now Axel looks forward to every new day at school, and Isabel played a big role in that.
