8-Month-Old Crawls Into Stranger’s Arms on a Plane— 60 Seconds Later, Dad Snaps Viral Photo
As parents, the stress that comes with everyday life is only amplified when you throw traveling in the mix. Every parent knows the hassle of traveling with children, and some unfortunate souls even understand the added challenge of doing so with an infant.
This dad and Imgur user is one of them. But thanks to the kindness of a stranger, a beautiful story emerged from an otherwise tense experience.
On Sunday, after weather in Chicago ruined travel plans, this dad had a terrible day.
It was his 8-month-old’s second flight ever, and according to the father, his little boy was doing quite well. That is—until he decided he wanted to go meet his window seat neighbor.
At first, the father tried to comfort his little son and stop him from crawling on the stranger sitting next to him. But, of course, the woman didn’t mind at all.
“After a brief introduction and him struggling with me trying to crawl to her, she opens her arms and says ‘oh, just give it to me!’
It turned out that a kind wife was all that was needed.
“He (and I, exhausted) are happy to comply with the stranger’s request.” Not even 60 seconds later he lays his head on her chest and falls asleep!
That wasn’t even the best part! As soon as the baby fell asleep, she looked at her dad and jokingly shouted, “The power of teats!”
She then proceeded to tell dad that if he wanted to take a nap, she would hold the baby so he could take a nap.
“After numerous cancellations and bans, I selfishly agreed to give custody of my precious child so I could take a quick nap.”
The experience was a healthy reminder that despite a lot of the garbage we hear in the news, there are still very good people in the world.

The grateful dad’s inspirational post quickly went viral, garnering over 120,000 views on Imgur in just 24 hours.
It really does take a village to raise a child. Sometimes that village consists of close friends and family. Other times, it’s just a stranger soaking up the baby’s hugs so dad can take a nap.
