After 6-Year-Old Son Passes Away, Parents Find Note He Left Them. I hope that when you’re reading this story you have some tissues to hand because you’re going to need them; I really cried real tears for this little boy and you will too!

This beautiful little boy, named Leland Shoemake, wanted mommy and daddy to get this sweet sweet message from him before it was time for him to leave this world.

At just six years old, this boy passed away of his condition on September 25, having been treated for Balamuthia mandrillaris, a brain-eating amoeba.

His parents returned home without their son to find the note, it was special and something he will treasure and treasure for all his days!

His mother was in his room, organizing and preparing for the funeraI, Tim found the note, it was in their living room where he liked to draw and create art.

Koha burst into tears as soon as he saw the letter, he ran to his wife, wanting to show her the note he found…

The note goes like this:

“Still with you. Thanks mom and dad. Love Mom and Dad.”

Amber said:

“To say I missed him was an understatement… We cried together for the longest time.”

Their young son often wrote them notes as well as pictures, but this one really was so much more special than any other, that they decided to frame it and put it on the wall in their living room.

Mom says in her past on Facebook that Leland was a smart and very curious boy! Amber wrote about it:

“He knew his abs, numbers, colors, shapes and 20 sight words by the time he was one.” He was our little goofball and we liked that about him. He loved school and he loved to learn. He loved the history channel, the weather channel, documentaries and anything about history… He wanted to learn.”

Leland was not only a smart boy, he was also really sociable and loved to talk to his parents and other people, every person who came in contact with him knew his pleasant personality, even his parents made new friends because of him.

He was a really great kid, but he grew too fast, before he blossomed!

This note he left behind is simply beautiful, something everyone should see, words really cannot describe what it means to any parent to find something like this in these circumstances.

Amber said of Leland:

“He was our little goofball and we liked that about him.” He loved school and he loved learning.”

“He loved the history channel, the weather channel, documentaries and anything about history.

“He loved ships like the Titanic and learning about things like the Second World War. He was perfect. His favorite movie was Jaws.”

“His favorite director was Steven Spielberg.” And his favorite actor was Adam Sandler.

“He loved his brother and his family very much.” He was the life of every party. His smile can light up a city.”

“He was the smartest, most caring and loving boy ever.”

This little guy will be missed by all who knew him, especially his parents and we send him love and prayers!
